Who Am I?
My name is Kerri and I’m fat. I don’t mind saying it because it’s true. I’m fat and I’ve been fat for a very long time. I’ve tried many diets, a few fads, even surgery… but I’m still fat. I’m also a mom, a scrapbooker, and a medical transcriptionist (MT). I’d love to say I run marathons but that would be a really big lie.
This blog chronicles my latest attempt to make some life changes. My husband of 17 years and I try to make dietary and lifestyle changes about 3-4 times a year but it rarely sticks. One frustrating day and we call for pizza. Whenever we’ve tried, I have told a few local friends but that’s it. I didn’t want to share it with a huge audience because I’m doomed to fail, and I never wanted to admit to people that I’m just too weak to lose weight (although, really… it’s pretty obvious when you see me).
Joe and I are ready to quit altogether and just accept our fate of an early grave… but I’ve got a son whom I want to see graduate and do some life stuff so I’m not quite ready to give up completely.
If you’re surfing around and have hit this page, give it a read. I’ve got nothing to hide at this point so if you have something nasty to say, go ahead. It’s probably nothing I haven’t heard before, but just try to be creative, okay?
Please, if you read just one day’s blog, leave a comment so I know you were here. Just keep it real. That’s what this is about… honesty in examining why I am like I am, and I want my visitors to do the same. Have a great day!
